Just thought I should share this. I think it's one of the best pieces of writing Joss Whedon has ever done, and certainly the most incredible thing Xander has ever said.

You gave away your power. They’ll never know how tough it is, Dawnie. To be the one who isn’t chosen; to live so near the spotlight and never step in it. But I know. I see more than anybody realizes, cause nobody’s watching me. I saw you last night, I saw you working here today…You’re not special. You’re extraordinary.'

I RAN OUT OF CREDIT, EMILY. Do you fancy going to town, or maybe catching a mewvie? If you called me when you got home that would be what one might call 'superb'. Or 'good'. Something superlative anyway.
